# Fees, peas, birds and bees

What are the staking fees used for?

Our platform fee is used to maintain, upgrade, and develop the platform itself. Though it is rather small when you think about it, at 6%, it incentivizes us to continue to expand and onboard more partners.\

It is our belief that keeping a relatively low fee is beneficial to project owners and stakers alike, while also generating our project slow but steady revenue. \
\
As community members in Fiona, you benefit from a lower tax rate when holding 38,000 Fiona and above in your wallet. Providing holders and new community members who join from partner projects yet another reason to hold our token.
